Are you looking for a special gift? A high quality and unique oil portrait of a loved one or yourself is certainly a very personal way of showing your love. Order your custom artwork or purchase a gift certificate for a special occasion.

How To Order a Commission Portrait

All you need is a good digital photo in high resolution. Please email me your photo and the desired size of the portrait and you will receive a personal quote shortly: mail(at)ateliersommerkunst.de

You don’t have a photo? You do not need a photo for a gift certificate anyway. If you live in or around Cologne, we can meet and I can take the photo for you. In all other cases, I advise you on how to proceed to get a good photo.

What Does a Commissioned Portrait Cost?

The price primarily depends on the size of the portrait. Additional costs may apply for a second or third person in the painting as well as for intricate pattern designs, for instance. On special request, I can also do the framing for you.

Price example: a regular portrait of 50 x 50 cm of one person is available from 890 EUR (excluding framing and shipping). A payment plan is available.

How Long Does a Commisioned Portrait Take?

The painting process takes at least a month and may take up to three months or more for a normal portrait of one person. This depends on how many commisions or other projects I am currently working on. Please contact me to find out about a realistic time frame.

Please note: If the oil portrait is to be shipped, additional drying time must be allowed for.
